Ronald Millar
Co-founder and CFO
After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1985, Ronald spent twelve years in venture capital and property, latterly as Finance Director of Argent Group plc, a quoted property company, before founding the company with Jonathan Guthrie.
Jonathan Guthrie
Chief Executive
Prior to founding the company, Jonathan worked for BSkyB for 8 years, from 1992 as Head of Finance and Deputy General Manager of BSkyB's subscriber management centres. Previously with Ernst and Young, Jonathan qualified as a chartered accountant in 1986.
Debbie Leishman
Chief Operating Officer - Services
Debbie started her customer management career at BSkyB and Excell-Multimedia where she was Sales Service Manager. Debbie joined MGt in 1998 and became a director in 2005. She is responsible for all inbound and outbound services including account management, contact management as well as quality standards and contact centre performance.
Jamie Mackinlay
Commercial Director
Jamie is responsible for sales, strategic planning and managing key client relationships. He has over 13 years’ experience in the online, media and enterprise sectors and has worked with the company since 2003, previously holding the role of Sales and Marketing Director. Jamie’s previous roles saw him assisting in the growth and sale of Orbital to the enterprise software development vendor Sopheon. Jamie was based in the USA for 5 years, as VP Sales at Orbital Software Group where he played a key role in the company’s successful IPO. Jamie holds an MBA from Edinburgh University.
Keith Shanks
Business Development Director
Keith has been immersed in contact centres for the past 13 years, previously holding operational, account management and sales roles within the industry. He joined MGt in 2005, and has been responsible for significant new business wins, securing media, telecom and public sector contracts. Keith leads our customer management outsourcing (CMO) sales team.
Stephen Petheram
Marketing Director
Stephen is responsible for all marketing activities worldwide. He has over 20 years’ experience in the provision of software, services and consultancy in the broadcast and media sector. Most recently, Stephen spent nearly five years at Microsoft as Director of Media Services for Microsoft Mediaroom, EMEA and APAC and prior to that held executive roles at Pilat Media and Lysis UK. Stephen joined Lysis on its acquisition of Concision Ltd., a company he co-founded, in November 1999. Concision was founded in 1990 and specialised in developing broadcast management software for major content owners and broadcasters. Stephen holds a degree in Engineering Science from Oxford University.
Craig Baxendale
Director of IT
Craig has over 25 years experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining the team he was IT Director at United News & Media plc (Advertising Publications Division) where he led the technical transformation of the publishing periodicals products into the digital media market. Following this he had two years as Vice-President Enterprise Applications for Getty Images inc. responsible for digital media rights management applications across Europe and Asia. Craig joined MGt in 2001 and has built a technology solutions division covering infrastructure, software engineering and solutions development supporting Broadcasting and New Media clients.
Moira Brown
Director of HR
Moira is an experienced HR professional whose early career was in the health service and local government. Prior to joining MGt, PayWizard's parent company, Moira was a regional manager in local government, responsible for over 3,000 staff. Moira joined MGt in 1998 and was appointed Director in 2000. She is responsible for all MGt’s recruitment, training, facilities as well as staff development and retention.
Ken MacFarlane
Head of Training
Ken joined MGt in 1999, following a career in both public and private sector companies, where he gained a wealth of experience in Operational Management and Training. Ken has extensive experience in managing the day-to-day operations of a number of clients at MGt. In 2005 Ken was appointed Head of Training, developing our in house Academy, and introducing MAPLE, our online training environment. Ken has complete responsibility for training and development across the company.
Stuart Brodie
Head of Operational Technology Solutions
Stuart started his career at BSkyB, where he looked after outsourced contracts as Commercial Business Manager. He joined MGt in 2006 as Operations Manager, progressing into the post of Senior Account Manager in 2008. Stuart's new role as Head of Operational Technology Solutions brings responsibility for ensuring MGt clients engage effectively with contact centre based technologies to enhance the customer journey. Whether that’s achieved through resource planning, contact automation, online account management, customer acquisition automation or introducing new contact methods. With 15 years Contact Centre based experience, Stuart is ideally suited to ensure MGt clients and customers have best fit technological solutions to enhance and evolve their interactions with MGt.
Non-Executive Directors
Peter Freeman
Chairman
Peter founded the property group Argent with his brother in 1981 after qualifying as a solicitor. Argent was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1994 with Peter as joint Chief Executive. Argent was acquired in 1997 by the BT Pension Scheme. Peter remains a non-executive director of Argent, and is also Chairman of Freeman Business Information plc. Peter was also a non-executive director of FTSE 100 property company Land Securities from 2001 to 2004.
Richard Eyre
Non-Executive Director
Richard's career spans nearly 30 years in the media business, on both the agency and client sides in radio, broadcast television and independent television production. He is non-executive Chairman of RDF Media, an independent television producer, Chairman of Interactive Advertising Bureau, a non-executive director of Digital Bridges, and an advisor to 19 Management Ltd. In addition he is Director of The Eden Project in Cornwall.
David Morrison
Non-Executive Director
David started his career with 3i Group plc and subsequently spent 13 years at Abingworth Limited. David is Chief Executive of Prospect Investment Management. On the MGt Board David represents Prospect's clients, RIT Capital Partners plc and The Weinstock Family.
Graeme Jones
Non-Executive Director
Graeme joined Chasophie Limited, a privately owned venture capital company, in 1988. He has direct venture capital experience in a variety of industries including fund management, financial services, old and new media. He represents Chasophie at Board level for a number of its interests.
